Projects

The idea behind the collection is inspired on the movie Inception by Christopher Nolan.

Connected to parametric architecture, there is a fundamental aspect of the film that I have used, namely stability/instability, which we find not only in architecture but also in the so-called totem that the protagonists use to know if they are still in a dream. The protagonist uses a small steel spinning top. If it continues to spin indefinitely, we are still in the dream otherwise, if it falls, we are in reality.

Another fundamental theme of the film is the ability to graft, that is, to use dreams to create an idea within a mind and make it believe that it is real. This is also a fundamental aspect of the collection that I wanted to analyze from a botanical perspective. In fact, grafting is a practice used in botany to create hybridization between two plants. I especially wanted to use the idea of the bond that is created between them and not necessarily use hybridization but something that acts as a binder and provides stability
